Frequently asked questions

Do you do cover-ups?

Yes, I do cover-ups, but it depends on the existing tattoo.

  • If you are interested in a cover-up, you must attach a clear photo of the tattoo you want covered when reaching out.
  • No photo = no response to your inquiry.

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Aftercare is SUPER important! Follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper healing.

Tattoo Aftercare Instructions:

  1. Initial Wrap:

    • Your tattoo will be covered with plastic wrap after completion.
    • Keep it on for at least 1 hour but no longer than 5 hours.
    • Once removed, do not reapply any wrap throughout the healing process—your tattoo needs to breathe.
  2. Washing Your Tattoo:

    • Wash your hands before touching your tattoo.
    • Use warm water and antibacterial soap to clean the area with your fingertips—not a washcloth or sponge.
    • Wash off all blood, plasma, and excess ointment.
    • Pat dry with a clean paper towel (do not rub).
  3. Applying Ointment:

    • Apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor Ointment—a thick layer will slow healing and damage the tattoo.
    • Repeat the wash & apply process 3–4 times daily for the first 4–5 days, then stop using Aquaphor.
  4. Switching to Lotion:

    • After the initial healing stage, switch to an unscented lotion (e.g., Lubriderm or Aveeno).
    • Apply twice daily (or whenever the tattoo looks dry) for the next 3–4 weeks.
  5. Water & Sun Exposure:

    • No swimming, soaking, or submerging your tattoo for at least 2 weeks (showering is fine).
    • Avoid direct sunlight for at least 1 month—no tanning beds or sun exposure.
  6. Peeling & Itching:

    • Your tattoo may peel and flake like a sunburn—this is normal.
    • DO NOT pick, scratch, or peel it. Let it heal naturally.
    • If it itches, apply lotion or lightly slap the area (yes, it works!).
  7. Sleeping & Clothing:

    • Avoid tight or abrasive clothing that may rub against your tattoo.
    • Try not to sleep on the tattooed area to prevent irritation.

How can I get tattooed by you?

  • The best and fastest way to book a consultation or appointment is through the Contact Form on this website.
  • After submitting, you will receive a prompt response from my assistant to help book your appointment or answer any additional questions.
  • Not all submissions receive a response—I personally select the projects I take on.

Do you offer consultations?

  • Yes, all consultations are done via Zoom video call.

What is your pricing and deposit policy?

  • I charge per hour, not per piece.
  • A non-refundable deposit is required to book an appointment—this will go toward the total cost of your tattoo.
  • Cancelling your appointment results in a loss of your deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted.
  • I do not accept checks or payment plans.

What is your rescheduling policy?

  • Rescheduling is free within the first 24 hours of booking.
  • After the first 24 hours, a rescheduling fee will be required unless I can find someone to take your spot.
  • Once you confirm that you need to reschedule, it is a final decision.
    • If I take the time to find someone to replace your appointment and can’t, you cannot revert to keeping the original appointment to avoid the fee.
    • If you cannot make it for sure, then you must reschedule. Otherwise, you keep the original appointment. I do not waste time trying to replace appointments.

Do you offer touch-ups?

  • No, I do not offer free touch-ups.
  • Any touch-ups will require an additional session and will be charged accordingly.

Do you offer numbing cream?

  • I do not provide numbing cream.
  • If you’re wondering which numbing cream works best, I can recommend one during the consultation or via email afterward.

Do you do small tattoos?

  • Yes, as long as you pay my minimum session fee.

What happens if I show up late?

  • If you are more than 1 hour late without notification, your appointment will be canceled, and you will lose your deposit.
  • If you notify me that you will be late, I will wait for you, but since I charge hourly, you will lose tattoo time equivalent to how late you are.

Do tattoos hurt?

Yes, but it’s not as bad as you think. 99.9% of my clients sit through their sessions just fine. Rarely does someone tap out.

To handle the session well:

  • Eat a full meal beforehand (tattooing on an empty stomach can cause dizziness or fainting).
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Get plenty of rest before your appointment.
  • Do NOT come in hungover—alcohol thins your blood and makes tattooing harder.

Can I tan while my tattoo is healing?

No. Avoid tanning and direct sunlight for at least 1 month—longer if your skin takes longer to heal.

Can I swim after getting a tattoo?

No. Avoid swimming, soaking, or submerging your tattoo for at least 2 weeks to prevent infection.

Do you tattoo minors?

No, I do not tattoo minors.

Do you do cover-ups?

I do not.

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Aftercare is SUPER important!  So make sure to follow the following instructions to the point!

Tattoo aftercare instructions:

Once tattoo is completed the artist will cover it with zeram wrap. Keep the zeram wrap on for 1 hour at least but no more than 5.  Once you remove it never again through use this through out the healing process. The tattoo needs to breath to heal that being said the only thing you can wear over the tattoo through out the healing process is clothing, just make sure it’s nothing that’s going to scrub against the tattoo, irritating the skin and compromising the healing process. Now that you removed the Zeram wrap wash your hands then wash, once washed and clean you’ll wash your tattoo with warm water & anti bacterial soap by using your fingertips or hands, the warmer the water the better. Wash off  all the blood and ointment that was left behind on top of your skin and make sure its clean.  Once fully washed pat down the tattoo with a clean paper towel until it is dry, than apply a super thin coat over your tattoo of Aquaphore Ointment, just remember you want to make sure its a THIN coat, a heavy coat will ruin your tattoo & compromise the healing process and trust me when I say THIN I mean super thin coats, the thinner the better.  Repeat this process of washing & applying ointment to the tattoo about 3 to 4 times a day for the next 4 to 5 days then stop.  After that you will start using a non-scented lotion for about 3 to 4 weeks (apply it when skin looks dry, I would say at least twice a day).  Do not submerge your tattoo under water for 2 weeks from the moment your tattoo was completed.  Huge quantities of water have tons of bacteria.  Showering is fine, just make sure to avoid scrubbing the tattoo, best way to wash it  is gently with your hands or finger tips so that your skin doesn’t get irritated through out this process.  You want to be super nice & gentle to your tattoo for a good month.  No sun tanning, no tanning beds, no tanning at all,  avoid direct sunlight on your tattoo for a full month , if your slow at healing possibly even longer.  Usually after the first week the skin on your tattoo could start to peal, its like when you get a suntan, once it starts healing your skin peals at times, similar to this affect,  it’s totally normal, do not help it peel let it naturally peel for a good healing.  At this stage your tattoo can get itchy, make sure not to itch it! best thing you can do to calm itching is apply some lotion on your tattoo, and you can even lightly slap it, sounds funny but it works!. .  Make sure not to sleep on it thru the healing process, we want to avoid irritating the skin.

Do tattoos hurt?

Of coarse they do!  but they’re not that bad. 99.9% of the people that I’ve tattooed have sat thru their tattoos perfectly fine. Very rarely is there someone that just cant handle it.  Trust me you’ll be fine!  Worrying about the pain of the tattoo is not what you should be focused on, instead make sure to eat a pretty good meal before getting tattooed, if your body is weak with no food or energy, you will pass out! make sure not to be all hung over for your tattoo appointment. You want to be well rested, eat something before coming in, and be well hydrated.
